DataFlux Data Management Server Custom connection

 Hi - I am trying to create DataFlux Data Management Server Custom Connection to access an Oracle Database with a Fully-Specified Connection String with the following information. Am I using the correct information? Please let me know. Really appreciate your help.

Do I need to use DataFlux 64-bit Oracle Wire Protocol or DataFlux 64-bit Oracle as driver, tnsnames.ora as path and Database Schema Name as catalog?

conopts=(driver=<DataFlux 64-bit Oracle Wire Protocol>; uid=user; pwd=passs; path=/opt/sas/thirdparty/oracle/Oracle_FullClient/product/11.2.0/client_1/network/admin/tnsnames.ora; catalog=<Database Schema Name>Smiley Wink

Thank You

Re: DataFlux Data Management Server Custom connection

HI Muralidhar

If you want to set up a connection to an Oracl instance on DM Server, on windows you should use the ODBC manager and specify your options there. On linux, you should use the command "dfdbconf" and follow the options, mind that you are able to edit these options afterwards in the odbc.ini file.

For both systems, make sure to save your connections, meaning to store (encrypted) user and password.

Hope that makes sense.

Vincent
