I recently gave a presentation at the SAS UK Forum recently on the topic of ”Advanced ETL Scheduling with DI Studio and LSF”. Depending on how you look at, it could also have been called “Robotic Process Automation with DIS and LSF”.
I said I would post my slides in the Data Management Community, so he I am.
The slides can be found in the “Technical Tips” Breakout Sessions section, at
EDIT: Now attached to this post as well.
The presentation covers why the basic functionality of LSF for triggering flows is, well, basic, and outlines an approach that gives a lot more power, sophistication, control etc using some configuration steps, some User Transforms and structured approach to managing raw data and it’s processing.
The techniques and overall pattern are field tested, and a number of instances have been running in customer installations 24/7 for over three years straight.
Have a look, I’ll be happy to respond to questions.
