How did you use data visualizations to tell a story about your data? What tools did you use?
I used Graph Template Language to develop compelling graphs for the regulatory agency. These visualizations effectively showcased the safety and efficacy of our investigational new treatment in comparison to another treatment. Some examples of the graphs I created include the Kaplan Meier plot, Forest plot, and Waterfall plot.
Why was it important for your organization to hear this story?
The organization could readily observe the effectiveness of their new treatment, which is particularly encouraging as their objective is to create medicines that make life better for people around the world.
How did the story have a positive impact on your organization? Please quantify if possible.
Apart from the fact that the graphs showed that the new treatment worked which is a huge positive to the organization, the new approach used to generate compelling data visualizations reduced the time required from a few days to just one day. Furthermore, the ability to easily reuse the code on other studies contributed to additional time savings.
Please share examples of your visualizations.
