Remi Kamali is working as a Project Leader at the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brottsförebyggande rådet or Brå for short). He is also the organization´s internal go-to-person regarding their FANS membership. We caught up with him asking a few questions on their FANS benefit utilization:
What do you value most by being a FANS member?
The benefits by being a FANS member organization are several. Personally, I like the opportunity I get to network with other SAS users nd receive information on upcoming network meetings, conferences and webinars. We also have discounts and free tickets to the different SAS conferences (SAS® Global Forum, Analytics Experience and FANS Conference (SAS User Forum)).
How do you see your co-workers utilize the FANS membership benefits?
My colleagues use the discounts and free tickets we have for the FANS Conference (SAS User Forum). They also receive information on events and activities coming up in near future, and many have signed-up for the monthly Nordic SAS User Newsletter in order not to miss important and relevant information.
How do you work with SAS software today, and how do this contribute to your organization´s objectives?
In my team we are using SAS as our main analytical and development tool. We also have a PC-license giving us the opportunity to use SAS® Enterprise Guide (EG) on our local computers. We don’t have any servers or solutions in the Cloud.
At BRÅ, SAS/EG is an important contributor to our results improvements, especially results related to Data Management and Statistics Development and Production. SAS/EG will continue to be important for our work also in the future.
