Do you know that you can add PowerPoints, Word documents, MS Teams content and even web links to your Enterprise Guide process flows?

If you have system documentation or meeting presentations relevant to a process flow, wouldn’t it be great to include them in the project?

You do this in the same way you would add an Excel file when importing it, you just skip the import step. You can add a shortcut to any file that you can reach on your local hard drive or fileserver. You can even add links to web pages, any web URL in fact, which means you can even add links to files and items in MS Teams. More details further down...

As you can see in the short vid, you do this either by:

  • dragging and dropping the file from Windows Explorer into the process flow work area or into the project pane
  • right mouse a process flow name in the project pane
  • use the Add control above the project pane or process flow

If it’s a web link you first drag the padlock icon left of the URL in your web browser into a folder and then drag that shortcut into EG. You can also create a shortcut in Windows Explorer (Right mouse > New > Shortcut).

Right mouse a process flow in the project pane and select [Add new] or [Add existing items]
