FANS provides contact with SAS users and informal contact with SAS (Profile Finansinspektionen)

Finansinspektionen (FI) is Sweden's financial supervisory authority. Their role is to promote stability and efficiency in the financial system as well as to ensure an effective consumer protectionThis month´s FANS profile member is Bosse Sjöberg working as Team Lead BI Platform, Technical System Administrator at Finansinspektionen in Sweden.

We wanted to know what Bosse personally appreciate by being a FANS member, how his co-workers are using the benefits included and how he works with SAS daily.

For me personally, as a FANS member, the contact with other SAS users and the informal contact with SAS, is highly valuable and what I appreciate the most.

At Finansinspektionen we are several co-workers attending the Network Meetings, SAS Forum, Webinars and some Training sessions. We also stay updated on what is going on by subscribing to the monthly Nordic newsletter.

At present, we are looking forward to SAS Forum in Sweden in March – to see what’s new, get inspired and pick up the relevant hands-on tip from SAS experts, and to discuss and meet up with my colleagues in other companies.

I work as Team Lead for the BI Platform build in SAS. The Platform should provide the organization with accurate data for analysis. The data is financial information from the Swedish finance sector such as Banking, Insurance and Market Trade. The system provides Analyst, Statisticians and Supervisors with accurate information for their needs. The team consists of Developers, Solution Architects and DBA requirement, with a total of 10-12 people.
