Why can’t administrators log off user sessions in the User Sessions category?

Typically, SAS® Customer Intelligence administrators can use the User Sessions category in the Administration workspace to log off from user sessions. However, if SAS Customer Intelligence is configured to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), administrators cannot log off from user sessions in the User Sessions category.

To enable this functionality when SSL is used, follow the steps below for your operating environment:

  1. Open the file that is used to start the web application server:
    • In UNIX or Linux operating environments, open the setenv.sh file that is located in the SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/Web/WebAppServer/SASServer6_1/conf directory.
    • In Microsoft Windows operating environments, open the wrapper.conf file that is located in the SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\Web\WebAppServer\SASServer6_1\confdirectory.
  2. Add the following three java.additional parameters to the file:
    • Dsas.ci.cluster.protocol=https
    • Dsas.ci.cluster.hostname=load-balancer-hostname
    • Dsas.auto.publish.port=443

Note: If the environment is not configured to use the default port, use the HTTPS port number.

The HTTPS port number is found in one of two places, based on how your environment is configured to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL):

      • in SASServer6 catalina.properties file that resides in this directory:

SAS-configuation-directory\Lev1\Web\WebAppServer\SASServer6_1\conf

The port number is the value for the bio.https.port parameter that is in the catalina.properties files. This file is the most likely place to find the value.

      • in SAS® Management Console:
        1. Select Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► SAS Application Infrastructure ► Customer Intelligence Core.
        2. In the properties dialog box that opens, click either the Internal Connection tab or the External Connection tab. The port number is shown on both of those tabs.
    • Restart the web application server.

Read Usage Note 55836: Administrators cannot log off from user sessions in the User Sessions category to see operating system and release information and to check for updates to this info.
