Thank you to Mike Stockstill, SAS Principal Analytical Technical Support Engineer, for contributing this tip as part of the SAS Enterprise Miner shortcut series.

Did you know that you can use SAS Enterprise Miner model packages to perform these tasks?

  1. Easily share results.

  2. Send a model to someone else for re-creating, running, and modifying.

  3. Provide diagnostics for technical support.

  4. Use as an alternative to migrating a project.

  5. Save a backup of your work.

The SAS Usage Note, Creating a model package (SPK file) in SAS® Enterprise Miner(tm), tells you how to create a model package and gives you steps to create an SPK file. That file can be shared with co-workers, opened for re-creating a diagram, emailed to technical support, saved to folder for safe-keeping as a backup, and so on. The note also contains a link to information about opening a model package, and using the contents.
