Crikey, that was fun! Not that anyone had doubt, but Michelle Homes was a natural at hosting the event. Thanks Michelle! We'll have to ask her back for a future event.
Congratulations to the winners: @snoopy369, @SassyErik2, and @sounak93. In case you followed the leaderboard, the winner, 'Joe' was NOT Community Manager @joeFurbee. I like to win, and I'd surely like a SAS Community towel, but I wrote the questions and am no ringer!
Question highlights included SUGA-related material, but we also found out baby koalas (and all baby marsupials) are called joeys, the common temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit is negative 40 degrees, and Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA was the first album released in America on compact disc (what's a cd?). We also had, of course our now seemingly obligatory roman numeral question.
You can catch the entire event on the replay below.

Plans for SAS Bowl V, Working with Data are set. In this edition, we'll feature blog posts by @LeonidBatkhan. The event will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 10 AM ET. Please check back with the Community for details and we'll see you in December.
For the next SAS Community trivia event, we'll boldly go where no one has gone before. Note: that's it for the Star Trek references, I'm more of a Star Wars guy. SAS Bowl IV, The SUGA Bowl is scheduled for Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 2 PM EST. The time shift away from our normal morning slot is to accommodate our guest host and emcee from Down Under, @MichelleHomes.
What is this SUGA thing?
The 'SUGA' theme is a reference to the SAS Users Group for Administrators. SUGA is a community group for SAS administrators and architects who plan, install, update, manage or maintain a SAS deployment. These are individuals who make it possible for users to flip on their computer, start number crunching, visualize data, and build models in SAS. They're also the folks you don't realize are there until something goes wrong. But when things do go awry, it's SUGA members to the rescue.
Do I have to be a SAS Admin to play?
NO, you do not have to be a SAS admin to participate in this event; however, sticking with our theme-based events, we will ask some admin-related questions. Fear not non-admins. We'll use the resources below to glean some admin-related questions. By accessing (reading and viewing) these resources, you can gain an advantage.

Some other prep tips: Michelle hinted about a question involving koalas and she is a huge fan of the roman numeral questions from previous games.

Congratulations @sounak93 and thanks for playing! I think the SAS Communities team worked out that it was you as the login you used was very similar to your SAS Communities username.
Tagging @joeFurbee and @ChrisHemedinger so they get this message and you get your SAS Communities swag!
Hope you had fun and congrats again!

Yes, it was fun @MichelleHomes, and given my Indian roots, the last question on tandoori helped me squeeze into that 3rd spot!!
Hope we have more events soon and expecting more questions on roman numerals. 😁

Oh I can imagine the excitement when you read the last question @sounak93! That's great to hear you enjoyed it and I hope there are roman numeral questions at future SAS Bowl events too. 😎

Quite fun, thanks Michelle - loved the Australian flavor even if I second guessed myself on Canberra.
@joeFurbee - is the next one Tuesday Dec. 8, or Thursday Dec. 10?

Thanks @snoopy369. I neglected to flip my calendar forward a month. SAS Bowl V is on Tuesday, December 8, at 10 AM ET. I've made the correction.

Thanks for the feedback@snoopy369 - I'm pleased to hear you found it fun and also liked the Australian questions. I found in my overseas travels that many people haven't heard of Canberra so I thought this question would be a good one.
Hopefully see you as a competitor at the next event... I'm hanging out to see what the roman numeral question will be too 😁
