What’s up with these error messages?

This brief article addresses error messages users sometimes encounter as they get started with University Edition. You’ll learn what to do when see the following:

 

  • Unable to connect to  http://localhost:10080 or http://192.168.77.128
  • The launch of the server process failed with an unknown status code.
  • VT-x or AMD-v is not available
  • This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU.
  • NOTE: Library [name of library] does not exist.
  • ERROR: Physical file does not exist, /opt/sasinside/SASConfig/Lev1/SASApp/C:\SASUniversityEdition\myfolders\Cheatsheet.xlsx.
  • ERROR: The path /users/xxyyzz/Downloads/Cheatsheet.xlsx is invalid because it is not in the list of accessible paths when SAS is in the lockdown state.

As always you did an amazing job with this :-)  Great resources for new and experienced users alike!!  I can't recommend the links you've provided highly enough.  Ron Cody's book is fantastic, and I suggest anyone getting started with SAS or SAS University Edition get this book.
