Did you know that SAS Studio has a special mode for programmers who use interactive procedures? An interactive procedure in SAS enables you to submit multiple statements without exiting the procedure. Interactive procedures include PROC SQL, PROC DATASETS, and statistical procedures such as PROC REG, PROC GLM, and PROC IML.

The following image shows the "Go interactive" icon that appears on the SAS Studio toolbar:

Click the "Go interactive" icon to put SAS Studio into interactive mode.

For more information, see the article "Running interactive procedures in SAS Studio and SAS University Edition," which includes information about how to set interactive mode as the default mode in SAS Studio.

Comments

Why have structured our flow in SAS IML using the SAS Studio Visual Programmer Mode. But now we recognized that its not possible to have interactive Mode using the flow in Visual Programmer Mode. Is it possible somehow to use the interactive Mode in Visual Programmer Mode?
