unable to use http://localhost:10080

unable to use the "http://localhost:10080/". The following error is popping

"The webpage at http://localhost:10080/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

Please help me to find out the solution.

Usually this error is caused by not having your VM running or it requiring a restart.

Hi, @haritha. Please clear your temporary files and try again. There was an issue earlier which has since been addressed.

 

(Edit: The issue is still ongoing.  Randy, 11:31 AM, 5/2/2016)

@RandyMullis I thought SAS UE doesn't require an internet connection? Why would something external cause an issue with connecting to the VM?

Actually, @Reeza, it appears it's a different issue. Let me continue researching before responding further.

hi @RandyMullis your first option i.e clearing temporary files didn't work . Please let me know if you find anything else .

I tried it, But still I face the same issue. The error as shown below

 

"This site can’t be reached

Hmm...try rebooting everything, browser and vm at minimum, and give it another shot. It didn't work for me earlier but is working now.

Yes, @haritha, after you apply the update, restart your VM. If you go back to the Information Center page and you see that there are updates still pending, apply them. Otherwise, try starting SAS Studio and let us know what the response is.

Are you getting the exact same error, "500 Service Unavailable"? If so, I think the update has not been applied.

 

If you have access to a different browser, try to access your http://localhost:10080 again and see what you get. I would really be curious.

 

You can also open a Technical Support track at support@sas.com.

 

The update is successful for most. We are actually trying to find a failed update, so if you open a Tech Support track, we can take a look and see what's happening.

I opened a case yesterday, and told like The problem will be solved when a new update is available. But still I find the issue is existing for me.

@haritha Have you made sure to apply the updates after installing the new version? You can check under the Notification bar in the SAS Information Center
