sas university edition on mac mini- library not creating

I created my folders in Sas University and my sas data set as sub folders which I see in folders. When I am running a library statement

libname orano '/folders/myfolders/sas';

or libane orano '/folders/myfolders/sas/prg1';

it says libray doeant exist

2 if I open a prog it opens a program and and shows same addres but because my library is not created so there are errors.

what should I do?

OPTIONS NONOTES NOSTIMER NOSOURCE NOSYNTAXCHECK;

62 libname orano 'folders/myfolders/sas/prg1';
NOTE: Libref ORANO refers to the same physical library as ORION.
WARNING: Library ORANO does not exist.
NOTE: Libref ORANO was successfully assigned as follows:
Engine: V9
Physical Name: /opt/sasinside/SASConfig/Lev1/SASApp/folders/myfolders/sas/prg1

Re: sas university edition on mac mini- library not creating

Your UNIX path is missing the leading slash, which makes it relative and not absolute.

Re: sas university edition on mac mini- library not creating

I don't understand your log, it says the library was created.

SAS does work on Macs, both my MacBook and iMac run it.

Maje sure the folder name is correct and lower case.

If your still having issues post screenshots of VM set up, folder set up and code + log.

If you can navigate to it in the Servers Folders pane, right click and examine prooerties which would have the correct path.

Are we talking about library definitions or file uploads? I am a little confused by now.

Look if sales.sas7bdat is in the location where library orion is assigned. You will find that it is not there.

[ Edited ]

Check your library path. Shouldn't it be:

libname orano '/folders/myfolders/sas/prg1';

Re: sas university edition on mac mini- library not creating

I am also quite confuse. for example a yer back when i was using sas at work. I simply run the lib command get my file upload and then use that  and write all the code or whatever files or excel are saved in that folder or filepath it just run never had any issue. or if it is a file path error also please guide me. I am not importing any file I just have files saved in my SAS folder using them as a basis to run the programs like I simply use to do.

I know, am sounding confused which really I am now.Smiley Happy

Re: sas university edition on mac mini- library not creating

Are you doing the programming 1 or Stat 1 course? Make sure to follow the set up instructions for the data/Orion library exactly as indicated for the UE.

Note that although SAS UE appears if runs in the cloud it doesn't not. Perhaps you were using SAS Base or SAS Academics on Demand. Different set ups have slightly different requirements. This is more similar to working with SAS on a server installation.

You can upload/download files, but you can also access them via the shared folder you set up. Once you have this down you can set up connections to anywhere on your desktop that you want.
