University Edition - Timeout?

Hello, I am working now for a few month with the University Edition.

When I go for a little break sometimes all my windows are closed even if the work was not saved.

I find an empty SAS program window.

Is there any timeout that could be set to avoid the closing of a session?

Thanks in advance.

Frank

From the "More Application Options" icon near to the Help, choose "Preferences" then under the "General" preferences you will find "Time-out Interval" option where you can increase it.

In addition to increasing the timeout interval (excellent suggestion), the auto-save feature is helpful, too.  Once you save a program, then if auto-save is enabled (preferences->editor), it will automatically save a copy - default is every 30 seconds.  This only works, however, after you've saved your code.  So getting in the habit of saving as soon as you start something new is the hard part.

Although those options exists, I find that due to running in a browser, sometimes your browser tries to be smart and reload pages. This causes you to lose work as well. It may be browser specific. Lesson is save often.
