Proc print no output

I am trying to display the result of an imported excel file. I am successfully able to import my file to SAS University Edition. But the software is not able to generate a report. This is the code that I am using

libname orionx "/folders/myfolders/project";
/** Import an XLSX file. **/

PROC IMPORT DATAFILE="/folders/myfolders/project/Fullerton.xlsx"
OUT=orionx.MYEXCEL
DBMS=XLSX
REPLACE;
RUN;

/** Print the results. **/

PROC PRINT DATA=orionx.MYEXCEL; RUN;

1. What happens if you only import the file? No Print?

2. What do you want for a print out? You can't visually check 30k rows. Try printing a subset or opening the dataset in SAS UE instead.

Proc print data=orionx.myexcel (obs=20);
Run;

The log for the Proc import should have something about the size of the created data set. Or error messages.

A common issue is that the University Edition runs in a Linux virtual machine and hence file names external to SAS are case sensitive. If the virtual machine sees the name as fullerton.xlsx or FULLERTON.xlsx or Fullerton.XLSX then the name is not an exact match and will generate a "file not found" type error.

Re: Proc print no output

The log shows the files processes the variables but cannot process the proc print statement.
