Re: Proc Loess

Oh thank you so much for your reply.

Did you use the Proc Loess function before?

If yes, can I take your email and ask you some help?

Re: Proc Loess

@Ksharp I regret that I do not have time to answer personal queries, so please do not suggest that people contact me directly. The correct procedure is to ask the community.   If you want to get my attention, you can include my handle @Rick_SAS as part of the reply.

@Josephine The way this forum works is

  1. People that want help should first read the documentation for the procedure.
  2. In particular, look carefully at the Getting Started example, If that is similar to my problem, I try to copy it and use my data.
  3. Otherwise, I look at the other examples in the documentation and see if one of those is closer to my analysis.
  4. If you still have questions, post a question to an appropriate SAS Support COmmunity. Include a small sample of your data (prefereably as a SAS DATA step) and the code that you are trying to use, even if it doesn't work.

@Rick_SAS

Thank you Mr Rick for your reply.

I have followed your instructions. But I still have only one question, can you tell me more how to reach an appropriate SAS support community?

Your help will me much appreciated

Thank you.

Fine. For a new question, open a new discussion thread. Follow the steps I outlined to get the best results.

Sure. In the documentation you will see that PROC LOESS is part of the SAS/STAT product.  Therefore the appropriate community is the SAS Statistical Procedures Community.
