Problem with opening a file

Hi SAS community, I am a high school student doing an Econometrics course on MIT open courseware. When I tried to do the assignment, it requires me to have an Base SAS software. I found the university version and installed it. But I couldn't open the file with the U version. Is anyone has any idea about that? Much appreciated it! Screen Shot 2015-12-08 at 2.20.58 PM.png

SAS UE can open a SAS7BDAT file. Please review the SAS Notes, regarding how to use your own data in SAS UE.

You can also review similar questions, see here for example, on how to set up a library in SAS UE.

https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Analytics-U/Libname-statement-in-SAS-Studio/m-p/236513#U236513

EDIT:  Since you're a high school student, here's a bit more instruction Smiley Wink

1. Save file to the folders/myfolders location you created when you installed SAS UE. If you don't have this folder, refer to your installations instructions or above link on how to set up folder and shared drive in the VM.

2. In SAS UE set up a libname reference

3. Refer to dataset using libname.

libname mitdata '/folders/myfolders';

data nba_salaries;
set mitdata.nba_salaries;
run;

proc print data=nba_salaries (obs=10);
run;
