Not Able to store directly in permanent library.

libname plib "C:/SASUniversityEdition/myfolders/permanent library";

Proc import datafile = '/folders/myfolders/Car_sales.csv'
dbms = csv
out = work.ncar_sales replace;
getnames = yes;
guessingrows= 100;
run;

Error:- Plib library doesnot exist. WHY?

Re: Not Able to store directly in permanent library.

One easy way to determine the proper path you should reference in your libname statement is to right-click on the folder and get the Properties. The path there will be the one that you need for your libname statement.

You run SAS UE in a virtual environment - so that's like a computer within your computer - which has its own filesystem.

If your Proc Import statement works then this filesystem is Unix/Linux. Your libname statement on the other hand tries to address a Windows path (which I guess is your host computer and not the virtual machine). What you need to do, is to define the path on your host system within the virtual machine (shared folder). You then can address this shared folder from within your virtual environment (using the Unix/Linux file path so how this then looks like from your virtual machine where SAS UE is running).
