I recently installed the new version of SAS University Edition.
When I exit after running the SAS UE, I get a page of Exception Report. Should I worry about this? Is there a way to solve it? The part of the report is:
HTTP Status 500 - java.lang.ClassFormatError: Truncated class file type Exception report message java.lang.ClassFormatError: Truncated class file description The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request. At the Bottom I see: Pivotal tc Runtime 3.2.5.RELEASE/7.0.76.B.RELEASE

It might be an indication that the image is corrupted.
The first solution I can offer would be to delete the image and reimport the OVA file.
if the issue persists, you may want to download VirtualBox again and reimport a fresh image.
In order to prevent the issue from reoccurring, you may want to use the "ACPI Shutdown" rather than "Power Off." Powering off the machine has been known to corrupt several virtual machines in the past whereas ACPI Shutdown is a more graceful way to turn off the machine.
Hope that helps.

I tried to download. See the message below. I downloaded the latest version once. It says MAXIMUM amount times ! Perhaps the count might include the downloads of previous versions. Can somebody initialize the counter in my profile to allow me to download?
Oops! Your SAS user profile has downloaded this software a maximum amount of times.
As a result, the content you attempted to download has been blocked at this time, and you will no longer be able to download the free software.

Before trying to download a new copy, did you try to delete and reimport the OVA file (from your previous download) ?
This could be sufficient.
Otherwise do you have an order number or similar linked to your download?

I do not understand this:
"Before trying to download a new copy, did you try to delete and reimport the OVA file (from your previous download) ?"
Is it on my System or on SAS site?
I got a email address to write to SAS and a telephone number to contact.

My understanding is that you are trying to download a new copy of SAS University Edition.
is that correct?
If yes, you may not have to do it.
Do you still have the OVA file you downloaded in the past ?
It might be sufficient to use it.

After installation, I have deleted the downloaded ova file. I am still using SAS UE. The Java Error message comes only when I complete the SAS session.
At SAS side, the download count for the latest version must be set at ONE for first download and counts of downloads for the earlier versions should be set at ZERO. For the earlier versions, many downloads for ONE machine was made due to version-issues of JAVA.
Are there any remedies?

We'll get there
I can see three options in your case:
- Use the current image you have, the error does not seem to have an impact
- Use the email address or the phone number to contact SAS so they can "reset" the count number
- Create a new profile on the website with a different email address to get access to a new download
Over to you.
