How to code in Python using SAS University Edition

geek-alert-v1.pngIn his latest blog post, @ChrisHemedinger walks you through SAS University Edition's new SASPy package, available in its Jupyter Notebook interface. (SASPy is pronounced "sas-PIE"...like the dessert. ;-)

He'll also show you how to use SAS (and Python) to access data from HTTPS websites -- that is, sites that use SSL encryption. Downloading web data just got much easier, as well as using REST APIs. He gives an HTTPS-enabled example in this post. Read Chris' post. Already given SASPy a try? Comment below!

I haven't tried SASPy yet but I've been using some HTTPS APIs lately - the addition of HTTPS to SAS UE opens up a whole new world of open data for us to explore.
