How Fix the problem Using INFILE


Hi,

I have a problems to read a file using the INFILE in SAS Studio

I got this error: Physical file does not exist.  some body can help me fix that problems

I use the VMware player

Hi, Carlos. You want to make sure you are referencing the file using the path as it is known is by the virtual machine. If you are referencing it using a Windows path (e.g. "C:\user\carlos\foo.csv"), then that will not work. Here's the easiest way to find the path you should use: Assuming you have set up a shared folder and your file shows up in the left pane, just select the file, right-click, and look at the properties. The path given there, along with the file's name, will be the name you want to use in your INFILE statement.

Thank you very much for your help, Now I understand more what is the problems and work fine using /Folders/myFolders/carlosSAS/filename.dat..
