ERROR: Write access to member SASUSER.FUNCS.DATA is denied.

Hi,

I started writing a code for creating erlang-C equation in sas University edition. But throwing some error.

This is what I typed:

proc fcmp outlib=sasuser.funcs.Erlc ;

........

  I have my own customized programe............

run;

I am getting the following error :

ERROR: Write access to member SASUSER.FUNCS.DATA is denied.

Seems like while using university edition I cannot access the library and write my own functions. Is there any workaround to solve this issue ?

Please reply.

Thanks and Regards,

Liju.

Why write to SASUSER? Why not just make another libref and write the function there?

TBH I am not a big fan of fcmp, compiled functions in proprietary catalogs doesn't fit the open source movement.  I would suggest just make a macro with your code, would be easier to debug etc.  I have found working with compiled procedures difficult too if your writing and debugging them.
