ERROR: DBMS type EXCEL not valid for import.

I'm getting this error when I run my code

DBMS type EXCEL not valid for import.

proc import out= imported_excel
datafile= "/folders/myfolders/all_excel/mainexcel.xlsx"
dbms= excel  replace;
sheet='Sheet1';
getnames = yes;
run;

Re: ERROR: DBMS type EXCEL not valid for import.

Hi:
Please search on the forum for previous postings. When you use the SAS University Edition or SAS OnDemand for Academics, with SAS Studio, you do NOT have the correct "helper" files needed to use the DBMS=EXCEL option.

Since you are reading an XLSX file, you might try DBMS=XLSX; however, you will need to double check the valid options for DBMS=XLSX. For example, I do not remember whether getnames=yes will work with that value for DBMS. However, I know that there have been previous postings about how to read Excel files when using SAS University Edition or SAS OnDemand.
