Can we add an additional observation to a data set using Enterprise Miner?

Hello. I'd like to know if we can add additional observations to an existing data set using SAS Enterprise miner.

If yes, please explain the stepts to do so

You should provide more of an example of what you start with and what type/when you are going to add observations.

Some possibilities are adding records from another data set, splitting observations based on values of one or more variables, inserting values at the change of a control variable (by group) and one I dislike summarizing groups of values within the data.

The type of addition will likely change the method. Some may required coding.

Best is to provide an example of your starting data and the desired result with a description of the logic involved.

Hi:
If you are working in the SAS Academy for Data Science in the Virtual Lab, we need to know the module you are working on (Predictive Modeling, Advanced Predictive Modeling, or Text Analytics, Time Series and Experimentation). Within the module, we need to know the class you're working on; and for the class, what exercise or demo are you doing that has you adding observations??

Once you provide this information, we'll be able to provide more relevant help.

If you are NOT in the SAS Academy for Data Science, but are using SAS Enterprise Miner for a class or for a work project, there is a separate Data Mining forum, here: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Data-Mining-and-Machine/bd-p/data_mining that is for Enterprise Miner users who are NOT in the SAS Academy for Data Science.
