I would be grateful if anybody could share any ideas on how to handle Australian Public holidays and their observed days. I am trying to code SLA reports that need to exclude public holidays from being counted as working days. I have started to try and code the logic by creating macro variables using a DATA _NULL_ step and using the HOLIDAY and MDY Functions to create the relevant dates. However, I am struggling with the logic to take into account observed holidays (i.e. where the public holiday is on a weekend). Also, wondering if there is an easier way...

You may find the following sample notes useful to use as a template. Obviously changing the public holidays to Australian ones.
Using the intnx and intck functions are best to use to exclude weekends.
