When using the following syntax in my proc report code, the output window displays the logo but not the excel spreadsheet specified in the ods tagsets.excelxp options:

style(report)={preimage="X:\Company_Logo.jpg"}

I also tried invoking the image through a title statement (since I'd like the logo at the top of the worksheet) but that did not work either.

Remedy?

Hi:
By Microsoft design, graphic images are not supported in Excel 2003 XML Spreadsheet Markup Language. Since this is the form of the output written by ODS TAGSETS.EXCELXP (Excel 2003 XML), that means that other ODS destinations, like ODS HTML, ODS RTF, ODS PDF will show preimage graphics, but ODS TAGSETS.EXCELXP output will not use the PREIMAGE file. In fact, if you had tried PROC GPLOT, inside your TAGSETS.EXCELXP "sandwich", then you would have seen this note in the SAS log:
[pre]

Excel XML does not support output from Proc:Gplot
Output will not be created.

[/pre]

Perhaps in the next sas release the preimage syntax can generate a similar warning so I don't waste 4 hours scouring around google for an answer.
