Style Changes using Call Define

    I am using the EXCEL tagsets and I have this piece of code in my proc report;

call define(_row_, 'style', 'style = [background=gray]'

I know this change the background color to gray.

How can I modify that to change the TOP BORDERS only

Re: Style Changes using Call Define

Hi:

  If you wanted RTF, you could just use bordertopstyle, bordertopwidth, bordertopcolor attributes in the PROC REPORT code. But for TAGSETS.EXCELXP, Excel doesn't always use those overrides. Information in the STYLE template gets written to the correct place in the XML generated by the tagset template.

  There's a paper by Eric Gebhart that shows altering the interior table lines and rules and borders for TAGSETS.EXCELXP. Here's the link:

http://www2.sas.com/proceedings/forum2008/036-2008.pdf  look at the last example on page 19 and then work to there from the beginning and try to understand each example.
