Running %centroids Macro - Error

I'm trying to run the %centroids macro, but getting an error regarding the data not being sorted.

Is there a requirement on the input data set?

I couldn't find anything.

950 %centroid(input,centers,id_var);

NOTE: There were 1 observations read from the data set WORK.input.
NOTE: DATA statement used (Total process time):
real time 0.00 seconds
cpu time 0.00 seconds

NOTE: There were 77141 observations read from the data set WORK.input.
NOTE: The data set WORK.DATA3 has 77141 observations and 11 variables.
NOTE: DATA statement used (Total process time):
real time 0.05 seconds
cpu time 0.04 seconds

ERROR: BY variables are not properly sorted on data set WORK.DATA3.

NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.
NOTE: There were 4442 observations read from the data set WORK.DATA3.
WARNING: The data set WORK.DATA4 may be incomplete. When this step was stopped there were 0
observations and 6 variables.
NOTE: DATA statement used (Total process time):
real time 0.01 seconds
cpu time 0.01 seconds

D'oh

input-data-set
specifies a map data set. The input map data set must be sorted by the ID variables.
