If you attended SUGI 31, hopefully you caught some ODS presentations and demos. If so, you probably learned about new features in ODS and Base reporting in 9.2.

Developer-created documentation for these features is available at http://support.sas.com/rnd/base/index-v9-resources.html . Each feature includes example SAS code.

We'd appreciate feedback about these new capabilities. Post responses to this forum, or send email to ods@sas.com. Thanks!

Are the PowerPoint presentations from SUGI available?

Jack,

We haven't uploaded the SUGI PowerPoint presentations to support.sas.com. Send a request for them to ods@sas.com, and we'll get them to you.

Some of the SUGI 31 ODS slide presentations are now available. They're in PDF format. See the section SUGI 31 Papers of http://support.sas.com/rnd/base/index-papers.html .

Thanks to ODS team for providing the functionality to set security for PDF document using ODS PDF. I believe this is definitely a much needed feature.

Is the functionality just limited to setting password or does it also include setting permissions like no printing, no changing the document and so on?

The answer is yes in 9.2, we will support the security features like, no printing, no commenting, no changing the document, etc.

What is the status of ODS Document support for PROC REPORT? I would like to start managing my PROC REPORT output with it and PROC DOCUMENT.

We've made a significant amount of progress but don't look for it in 9.2.
