We are considering giving up single user licenses of SAS and getting a server license with EGuide running on the desktop. We have no idea how many users it will take to overload the system. Let me use one of our current servers as an example. We have a Dell Quad (4 CPUs) server with Hyper threading technology, 4 gigs of RAM and 700 gigs of Hard drive space. The server is about 3 years old. I do not know what speed it is and I know that is important. Can any of you post your experiences with the number of users that you have running SAS on quad servers? Thanks, John

This isn't really the correct forum for this question.

I have seen dual processor servers running 100's of users, but it depends greatly upon your operating system.
