Hi

I am using Excel xp tagset to create a excel report . Since the Excel xp tagset will create xml file the report size is large . So inorder to reduce the size i will open it in excel and save it so that the size will get reduced . As long as the Report size is with in range 1 -2 mb i am able to open using excel and save so the report size will reduce to some KB . But When the size of file is larger than 2 mb opening the excel itself will take time .So i am not able to reduce the size of excel.

Please let us know is another option by which we can reduce the size of excel.

Hi:
I have had students report that they sometimes write a small script in VB/VBA or some other scripting language to go out and do an open/save as. Basically, they keep all their unconverted XML files in one directory and run the program on a scheduled basis (usually at night) and save the converted .xls or .xlsx files in a different directory, so they know what files have been converted.
