Presentation number 29 by Henrik Dorf, SAS Institute
Copenhagen, 15 June 2017
This paper demonstrates the use of a SAS program to migrate SAS source code from one system to another – giving the options of modifying the code automatically during transfer and to registering the program code that is handled, the changes that are made and deliver a method to analyze code for suspected problems and issues. Different ways to analyze and verify the migrated code are presented.
Some techniques to test the migrated code on the target servers are demonstrated and explained. Most important, the process will allow that the code is migrated iteratively and even last minute changes or findings can be fixed with high confidence in the result.
