Get user info (windows logon) in SAS IntraNet

by Contributor bergsorensen on ‎01-19-2015 09:33 AM (298 Views)

is it possible to get windows logon information, in a SAS IntraNet program, for the user visiting the "site"?

&SYSUSERID (which we normally use for scheduled programs) simply gives "SYSTEM".

Using SAS 9.4 together with Apache 2.2.25.

Thank you.

There are a few global macro variables that store user information that may be helpful.  See, for example &_MetaUser &_MetaPerson &_SecureUserName &_UserName.   In general, SAS BI introduces a LOT of global macro variables, with different ones created by different clients/servers/etc.  I spend a lot of time doing %put _ALL_ ;   .

p.s., Noticed that this question came up in the "SAS Community Denmark" group rather than, for example, the Stored Processes community.  You might get more responses if you ask there.  I didn't realize there were country-specific groups, hopefully we can keep questions like of interest to the world-wide SAS community in the broader forums.
