Hello - we have olap cube, cem_cube, created by one user,

Somehow cube doesn't shows up at OS level but it is present at Metadata location. users accessing cube as "sasuser".

Shared data

    SASApp - Olap Schema  -> sasuser has -> RM (explicit) + CIM (Inherited (grey))

         folder1  -> sasuser has all permissions are inherited (r/w/c/d/a/rm/wm/wmm)

             folder2 -> sasuser has all permissions are inherited (r/w/c/d/a/rm/wm/wmm)

                cem_cube -> sasuser has inherited RM/WM/R permission

When we try to open this cube into excel -> it says,

"cem_cube" encounter error while opening the results.

we can postpone processing results by placing them in the status window.

the olap cube 'cem_cube' was not found on server SASApp.

Are yo using unix on the server?

If I remeber correct you need to set execute rights on the folder that holds the cube physical data....:0

yes, we are on linux - sas 9.4.

when user, who created cube, tried updating 'cem_cube' it got renamed to 'cem_cube1" at OS level and name remains same, 'cem_cube', at metadata folder level. Now, when other users tries to open cube in excel by browsing sas metadata folder location - they sees "cem_cube" not "cem_cube1" and gets above mentioned error.

I have had the same problem. Remove the extra metadata object (1) and also the physical files on the server. Then recreate the cube from smc or cube studio. It should work :0 //Fredrik
