Hi all,

i have a short question regarding SAS 9.4 and Windows 10 (x64).

I have installed the latest SAS 9.4 ODBC (x64) driver and have configured it. When i try to open a OBDC connection in Excel 2016 (x64) - Excel crashes...

Does somebody has an idea ?

Hi,

probably some logging could give us some extra information.

One log that might be useful could be on the one generated by the Addon: http://support.sas.com/kb/56/743.html

Hi Juan,

thx for your quick response...

I haven´t installed the SAS Office Add-In - In the past, it was enough to open a ODBC connection.

And that is still true. You might want to check with your system admins, what they do think. They can see the logs of Excel, the Windows Logs, and the odbc client logs.

By any chance were you attempting to open a SAS data set that exceeds the size limits for Excel?
