SAS Add-in - Proper format of date for Drill-Thru data in Pivot table

We have several pivot tables using the Add-in where when selecting a cell to drill-thru for details will only provide the date by default as a number.

We must reformat it in the worksheet each time to display the date properly.

If the variable is display in the pivot table, it is displayed as date.

What is missing to enable auto formatting for the cell drill-thru detail to provided date variables as dates ?

What format (or not) should the date variables be ?

Is there any best practices to use for dates within the Add-in, Excel and pivot tables ?
