Hi,

I installed SAS 9.2 on MS Win 7 Pro under administrator account. I ran SAS 9.2 a couple of times under regular user account after installation.

I am now getting an error when I run SAS under regular user or 'Run as administrator' from regular user account.

ERROR: User does not have appropriate authorization level for library SASUSER.
NOTE: Unable to initialize the options subsystem.
ERROR: (SASXKINI): PHASE 3 KERNEL INITIALIZATION FAILED.
UNABLE TO INITIALIZE THE SAS KERNEL

There is no error when I run the program loggin as administrator.

Thanks!~

Not sure if the right forum, but hey there is not one for this type of question.

Have a look at the permissions on the SASUSER library's physical folder, you'll find that the standard user doesn't have write permissions.

have a look at the setup for SASuser.
In my vista platform the config is the same as it was in XP

-SASUSER "?CSIDL_PERSONAL\My SAS Files\9.2"

that should resolve to a personal setting where the "user" should have update access, or are these managed differently in Win7?
