I am running on Windows XP and SAS 9.1. When trying to read Excel 2003 spreadsheets using the SAS Access for PC files libname statement to read the data, an error occurs stating SAS can not find the sheet named in the SET statement (the case of the sheetname is correct and has a dollar sign appended inside single quotes with an "n" appended, " SET xxx.'Sheetname$'n "). However, once i have removed any filters (under the "Data" pull down) and "unfreeze" any panes (under the "Windows" pull down), SAS reads it like a champ.
Is there anyway to remove these restrictions programmatically?
