Hi SAS users,

I am taking counts of about 700 Teradata  tables , I have a macro to connect to teradata and get counts and put them in sas datasets respectively.

but my macro connects to teradata 700 time to teradata.

How can I reduce number of teradata connections?

your advice is helpful.

thank you

You need to create one sql query that can give you count of all 700 tables in one shot. It seem that you are counting the rows one table then next table.

It would be nice if you share the query that you are sending to the database for getting the count.

Just make sure that you don't disconnect/connect between each loop in your macro.

Or is there a catch?
