how to use put statement to get .gif into HTML

I ma modifing an old pgm that uses put statements to output a HTML page. I would like to modify the pgm to add other features to the web page. I have added a put statement to add a .gif image but only a "broken" image icon is in the web page. The statement is below.

Can some one provide an answer to this? Or is this just not possible with put.

put "<img src=""S:\2011\test data and pgms\EPI.gif""></img>";

Thanks.

Re: how to use put statement to get .gif into HTML

Hello,

I think you need to put your image file in a web server (apache, etc...) and then the path to the images is specified as http://yourhttppath.com/images/image-filename in the HTML file.

put "<img src=""http://yourhttppath.com/images/EPI.gif""></img>";

Best regards
