how to change work directory in EG using X command

here's the story. linux server with limited ssd fast space (current work) and new lots of space emc network; which appears to be pretty fast.

how can i easily change the work directory in an EG session.

i've tried this but it doesn't work.

x -work /blah/;

libname econ '/pm/econ/';

options user=econ;

the -work system option is only valid at SAS start-up, which means that you can't configure it as part of a client connection. That has to be done at the server, as part of SAS default, SASApp or WorkSpaceServer configuration. This will change the setting for all users connection to the resource. If just specific users should have this change, that's a different story. Is this the case?

One alternative is to look at the temp=yes libname option for the SPDE engine.
