can university edition provide PROC MODEL statement?

It seems that SAS University Edition doesn't provide PROC MODEL statement. The error message is shown below:

ERROR: Procedure MODEL not found.

Could anybody provide some information about this issue? PROC MODEL is really a basic and important function, and really need it for basic task in my class....

Thank you for any inputs!

Re: can university edition provide PROC MODEL statement?

PROC MODEL falls under SAS/ETS and I don't think SAS/ETS is supported in SAS University Edition.  Perhaps try contacting sasanalyticsu@sas.com for confirmation.

From what I understand, SAS/BASE, SAS/STAT, SAS/IML, SAS/ACCESS are included in UE.

PROC MODEL is in SAS/ETS software, which is not included as part of the free University Edition.

Re: can university edition provide PROC MODEL statement?

If the PROC MODEL is in SAS/ETS software, which is not included as part of the free University Edition. then how does one goes about to get the SAS/ETS software?  Is this a simple additional download or is this an additional product that needs to be purchased?  If so, then how does one go about to purchase the SAS/ETS product?

Thanks!

Re: can university edition provide PROC MODEL statement?

Hi:
If you are a student and your university has a license for SAS/ETS, then you can get access to SAS/ETS through your school's license.

If you set up an individual learner account on the SAS OnDemand for Academics server, then you would also have access to SAS/ETS.

For a SAS OnDemand for Academics account, follow the instructions here for Independent Learner: http://support.sas.com/software/products/ondemand-academics/#s1=2

The system requirements are: http://www.sas.com/en_us/industry/higher-education/on-demand-for-academics.html#m=system-requirement...

Description of features: http://www.sas.com/en_us/offers/14q1/122603-sas-for-academia/overview.html (look at the SAS OnDemand for Academics features in the middle column)

Hope this helps.
