avgmin=mean(min(of col1-col1070));

If I am using the subject in code but don't want to hardcode 1070 what are my options?  I'm looking into using an array but wondering if there is something simple to add here like end or last.

Thanks,

of COL:

However your use of mean(min(of does not make sense.

Are you asking for the right thing?  After all, you would get the same number if you removed the MEAN function.

Or, if you don't want ALL of COL, but want COL1 through COL XXXX you can just define a macrovariable and use it

%let endnum = 1070;

then use COL1-COL&endnum;
