Web Site Search results to a dataset

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure this is the correct board to ask this question, so if not please point me in the right direction.

I have just been assigned some of the job duties for a member of our team that is leaving and they are very manual, so I would like to automate if possible.

Each day the links from our internal marketing emails need to be clicked on and once the page loads, the specific sku's from the link have to be put into an EXCEL file with the date and a calculated sale end date.

Does anyone have any experience doing this with SAS to capture the information?

Thanks,

Tammy

Re: Web Site Search results to a dataset

Depends on how complex the URL is but you can definitely scrape a webpage using SAS.

Here's a good write up on how some of that can happen:
