I am having problem using javascript in stored process.

In a web page there is a textbox and a button. Whatever I write in the textbox needs to be captured in a SAS macro variable(or variable) after the button click so that I can update a dataset with the contents of the textbox. Navigating to another page is not permitted. Please help.

Buttons and Textboxes are parts of FORM elements, which either use a POST or GET method, which means they always communicate back to the web server. So the only option you have is to use the GET method to start another run of the STP with different parameters. Once you see a web page created by the STP, the STP has already finished.
