Hi All,
Just trying to calculate number of days between the following two dates. Looking forward for your advise please?
Regards,
Naeem
11DEC2013:20:52:39.000
21NOV2013:04:45:43.000
data _null_;
date1='11DEC2013:20:52:39.000'dt;
date2='21NOV2013:04:45:43.000'dt;
day1=intck('second',date2,date1)/86400;
day2=round(day1);
day3=floor(day1);
put day1 day2 day3;
run;
data _null_;
date1='11DEC2013:20:52:39.000'dt;
date2='21NOV2013:04:45:43.000'dt;
day1=intck('second',date2,date1)/86400;

put day1 day2 day3;

The day1 calculation is no different from (date2 - date1)/86400 ;
I would prefer to use 'dtdate' instead of 'second':
day1=intck('dtdate',date2,date1) ;
'dtdate' is measuring days in datetime, ie seconds.
