Hi everyone,

There is any way to identify which metadata user created a SAS table? I have some tables on a library, created using SAS Enterprise Guide. There is any way to verify who creates the table? I need the metadata user used to connect to SAS Enterprise Guide.

Is possibly to identify which process id was used to create an existing table?

Thanks,

Not the physical SAS table/data set. It only has information about the OS user that created/modified the table.

Perhaps it's possible to start SAS server logging to catch such events, perhaps you could look into what Environment Manager offers.

The same goes for pid, it's not stored in the data set file, could perhaps be fetched via logging.

Why do you need this? Is it because you have a shared OS user for multiple metadata users?

Hi @LinusH,

Thanks for your answer. Yes, we have groups that share the same OS user.
