Im taking my first stats course, and I need some help. I bought 'Discovering Statistics Using SAS' by Field and Miles. I own a Mac Book Air, and I downloaded JMP from my university. The book uses a SAS interface, and doesn't mention JMP at all. I really want to use the book to learn how to use SAS. Is there any way in which I can use JMP to get to a regular SAS interface (with Libraries sections and etc)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

JMP is a product from SAS Institute that has very little in common with SAS. For your first course in statistics, you are definitely better with JMP. SAS Institute offers some introductory statistics books for JMP users such as https://support.sas.com/pubscat/bookdetails.jsp?catid=1&pc=61382 . Look at JMP internal doc first.
