Is there a way to toggle between windows (e.g., Editor and Log) using keystrokes? Assuming there is not by default can this be added to the keystroke shortcuts?
It may be useful:
Use the KEYS command to open the KEYS window. You should probably already have keys defined to do that. You can use the LOG command to jump to the LOG window. OUTPUT to jump to the output window. WPGM to switch to enhanced editor. PGM to switch to the old style editor window.
Thanks! After right-clicking on a window I also noticed there is a Ctrl+F6 shortcut to toggle to the next window. Some reason this doesn't show up in the Keys window.
Which keys you can change with the KEYS window is platform dependent. For details about hard coded keys like Ctrl-F6 you need to refer to the companion document for you operating system. Probable in the Display Manager section.
The key combinations in the KEYS window are operating system dependant. Those that are hogged by the OS are not available.
You can assign any SAS window command to any of the keys you prefer. Note also that the KEYS window is also context sensitive. If you issue a viewtable command or open a dataset from SAS explorer you have a different KEYS set. You may have noticed <DMKEYS> following the KEYS label at the top of the window. The bit within the <> tells which set you are using.
