Out Outlook/exchange enviroment allows to send SMS messeges by sending a mail to: [sms:XXXXXXXX
Im trying to get SAS to use the above, without luck so far.
Heres a small code example:
filename mail email "nul";
file mail to= ("[sms:12345678]")
subject="AUTOMAIL: SAS-job er fejlet!!";
put "SMS wth SAS!";
I get the following error message:
ERROR: Email: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address
WARNING: Bad email address: [sms:24421571]
ERROR: No email addresses specified.
Help would be much appriciated !

Really not sure though I think SAS can only send to a valid email address not to SMS like that. What you could try however is to setup an email address which has rules in place to bounce the message out to SMS, so rule like if email from SAS then send message to SMS. Let outlook do the send to SMS.

Thank you for your answer.
I have done some futher testing.
SAS 9.2 (code and log above) strugles with the "mail format" - though running the identical code in SAS 9.3 works like a charm.
New "feature" or perhaps an option?
